From first-floor arrivals to the bus stop
- After completing immigration inspection and baggage pickup, go to the arrival hall on the 1st floor. The bus stop for both domestic and international flights is located outside the first floor of the terminal.
- If you have a transport IC card, check the route you use and the balance. You can use nationwide interchangeable transport IC cards such as Suica, ICOCA, and Hareca. If you do not have a transport IC card, select your destination and buy a ticket at the vending machine at the airport bus stop.
- For Okayama Station, take number 2 ‘岡山駅方面’, and for Kurashiki Station, take number 3 ‘倉敷駅方面’. Even for the same airport bus, you have to stand in a separate line.
- Check the destination and departure time, load your luggage, and then board. To use the Okaden transport IC card, touch the card reader when getting on and off. Please also follow the instructions of the on-site staff.
In addition to cash, Okaden's vending machines accept touch payments with credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, and JCB, as well as some electronic and QR payments. This is a payment method that can be used at vending machines, and cards and QR payments other than transport IC cards cannot be used on the bus.
Chutetsu provides information on paying for tickets, cash, and transport IC cards. Check on-site markings for response measures for each device.
General passengers board both routes without reservation. Boarding is not guaranteed when seats are full, so check the line and vehicle information even if you have purchased a ticket. Okaden's wheelchair-accessible seats require separate phone reservations.

Okayama Station · 岡山駅
- 1st floor arrival hall → Purchase a ticket to Okayama Station or prepare a transport IC card at the ticket vending machine → Go to airport platform number 2.
- Take a bus bound for ‘岡山駅西口’ and travel for approximately 30 minutes. The ‘特急’ bus stops at an intermediate stop, but you can continue to Okayama Station.
- Get off at platform 21 at the West Exit of Okayama Station. Airport bus platform number 21 is different from Shinkansen platform number 21.
- For hotels on the west side, find the walking route using the accommodation name and address. If you are staying on the east side, go through the east-west free passageway (東西連絡通路) on the second floor of the station and take the east exit (東口/後楽園口). There is no need to enter the turnstile or buy a train ticket. If your suitcase is large, check the elevator location on the floor plan.
If you just search for ‘Okayama City’, the direction after getting off is ambiguous. Start by checking which exit your accommodation is on, and if you arrive late at night, check the check-in time and the walking distance from the station to your accommodation.

To walk, go from the east exit to Momotaro Dori → Tsurumibashi → Korakuen main gate. The official English guide to the facility is about a 25-minute walk from the station. Please allow separate waiting time for luggage and traffic signals.

If you want to leave large luggage before sightseeing
Okaden Airport Bus can carry large suitcases in the lower trunk. Please ask a staff member to store your belongings and store your valuables yourself. For size and number conditions for Chutetsu Kurashiki, please check with Chutetsu Information or call 086-222-6601. On JR local trains and streetcars, carry the suitcase yourself and place it so that it does not block the aisles or doors. Chutetsu Guide
JR official station information indicates that there are coin lockers at Okayama Station and Kurashiki Station. Please check on site to see if large bags can fit, if there are empty lockers, and when available.
Kurashiki Tourism lists luggage storage at the station-front tourist information centre for 500 yen per bag when lockers are unavailable. Ask about size limits and collection hours before visiting; late-night collection is not guaranteed.
If your accommodation can accept your luggage, you can leave it there first and then move on.

Airport bus last bus/flight delay/operation change
The 1–24 October 2026 timetable lists last airport buses as Okayama 21:25 → 21:55 and Kurashiki 19:20 → 19:55. These are city-bound departures, separate from return buses to the airport.
There are no day restrictions for flights departing from this airport. Travel after October 25th will need to check the timetable for the new coverage period.
Okaden’s airport departures follow flight arrivals, so a delay can change the scheduled bus time. The airport also lists additional Okayama Station buses for arrivals from Incheon, Shanghai, Taipei and Kaohsiung. These leave after the relevant arrival and are not shown in the regular timetable.
Ask the operator or airport staff about the additional bus’s departure and delay arrangements. Kurashiki services may also change when flights are delayed. Ask which buses remain rather than assuming a later departure.
If you miss the direct Kurashiki bus
If there are still buses to Okayama Station and JR also operates, you can transfer at the station and arrive at Kurashiki on the same day. On October 4, 2026, the last Sanyo Main Line local train in JR's official search was Okayama 23:34 → Kurashiki 23:50. If the last regular airport bus arrives at 21:55 as scheduled, there is room to use a later train, but connection due to congestion, delay, or service suspension is not guaranteed.
Please search again by travel date and leave time to get off the bus and get to the ticket gate and platform.
If you bought a ticket but couldn’t get on, or public transportation ended
Since general boarding on this airport bus does not require reservations, changes to reserved seat reservations will not be processed. Keep unused paper tickets and check with the ticket issuing staff or operator to see if they can be used on the next bus and the destination change and refund fees.
A ticket does not automatically transfer to another route or qualify for a free refund. For a separately booked vehicle, follow that company’s delay-contact, change and cancellation conditions.
After public transport finishes, go to the first-floor official taxi stand and show your hotel’s address. For a booked vehicle, confirm its meeting point and registration. Late-night availability is not guaranteed. Tell your hotel about check-in and any remaining journey from the station. Official general taxi stand map in front of the terminal on the 1st floor

Okayama Momotaro Airport Transportation, Frequently asked questions
How do I get from Okayama Airport to Okayama Station?
Take the airport bus bound for Okayama Station at bus stop 2 outside the arrival hall on the first floor of the airport. It costs 1,000 yen one way for adults, the ride takes about 30 minutes, and immigration, baggage pickup, and waiting for the bus are separate. There is no rail station at the airport.
At which exit does the airport bus arrive at Okayama Station?
Arrive at platform 21 at the West Exit (Sports Park Exit / 運動公園口). To get to Korakuen/Okayama Castle, pass through the east-west passageway on the second floor of the station and go to the east exit (Korakuen exit). Bus platform 21 and Shinkansen platform 21 are different locations.
Do I need to make a reservation for the airport bus?
For both Okayama Station and Kurashiki Station, general passengers can use the bus without reservation. If all seats are full, you may not be able to ride. If you don't have a transport IC card, buy a ticket from a vending machine at the airport bus stop. Okaden's credit card touch payment is only available at vending machines and should not be considered a card payment on the bus.
Can I go directly from Okayama Airport to Kurashiki?
The official timetable for October 1-24, 2026 includes a direct service from Platform 3 at the airport to Platform 2 at Kurashiki Station North Exit. Adults 1,400 yen, approximately 35 minutes, last airport departure is 19:20. Service may change depending on flight delay or weather.
What if I miss the direct bus to Kurashiki?
From platform number 2 at the airport, go to the west exit of Okayama Station and transfer to the JR Sanyo Main Line local train bound for Kurashiki/Fukuyama. How do I get from Okayama Station to Korakuen/Okayama Castle?
For Korakuen, take an Okaden bus towards Fujiwara Danchi from east-side stop 1 to Korakuen-mae, then use the main entrance. For Okayama Castle, take a Higashiyama-bound tram to Shiroshita and walk about 10 minutes. The adult tram fare is 160 yen. You can also walk from Shiroshita to Korakuen.

Since the direct bus arrives in the north, it adds time to pass through the station corridor and exit to the south.
Can I use it with a large suitcase?
The Okaden Airport Bus informs you that large suitcases can be placed in the lower trunk. Ask the staff to load it for you. Please check with the operator regarding the size and number of bags on Chutetsu’s Kurashiki route.
