Take the airport bus to Tokushima Station from the arrival lobby
- Go out to the arrival lobby on the 1st floor. Complete immigration, baggage collection, and customs. There is no need to go up to the departure level to catch the bus.
- Purchase a ticket or prepare a payment method at the ‘リムジンバス券売機’ inside the airport. A ticket vending machine is indicated on the official map on the first floor. The vending machine supports transport IC card and QR payments. If you haven't purchased a ticket in advance, you can pay with cash, card touch payment, or transport IC card when you get off the bus.
- Go to platform 1 outside the first floor. Check ‘リムジンバス’ and the destination ‘Tokushima Station’. The UZS BUS on No. 1 is different from the one heading to the city as it goes towards Naruto and Awaji. Number 2 next to it is the route bus stop.
- Take the Tokushima Bus airport limousine bus. Seat reservations are not accepted, and if all seats are full, you must take the next bus or take a taxi. Check with the driver first if you have large luggage, and do not put power banks in the trunk.
- Airport buses enter the city via Tokushima University, Central Park/Court North (中央公園・裁判所北), then Tokushima Station. Intermediate city stops are for getting off only. For station hotels, stay on to the terminus, collect your luggage and use the pedestrian path.
Adult (middle school student or older) one-way fare is 800 yen, child fare is 400 yen. You cannot take the train directly from the airport. Go to the accommodation in front of Tokushima Station
The final stop is the station-front rotary on the south side of JR station. The official station map shows the bus drop-off area on the west side of the plaza in front of the station entrance. After getting off according to the driver's instructions, locate yourself based on the station building.
For actual stopping areas, on-site guidance takes precedence, and you should not look for the airport-bound bus stop No. 15, which you use on your return, as your arrival and drop-off location.
The station building and JR Hotel Clement are to the north, the Amico commercial facility is to the west of the plaza, and the Daiwa Roynet Hotel is to the east. For hotels on the south side of the station, find directions using the accommodation name and address on the pedestrian path outside the roundabout rather than entering through the station entrance.
Each hotel has a different entrance, so don’t walk in the same direction just looking at the description ‘Around Tokushima Station’.
How to get to Awa Odori Kaikan from Tokushima Station
Awa Odori Kaikan · 阿波おどり会館
If walking: In front of the station → Shinmachibashi → Hall entrance
From the square south of the station, walk southwest towards Shinmachi Bridge · 新町橋. Cross the Shinmachi River and follow the road towards Mt. Bizan to the hall’s front entrance.
Official tourist information is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Please consider the additional time required to exit the bus from the bus stop to the pedestrian path and wait at the signal. If you have large luggage, it is best to leave it at your accommodation and then go sightseeing.
Tokushima Station → Hall walking directions ↗If you want to reduce the amount of walking: No. 3 → To the left of the Southern Loop Line
From platform 3 in front of the station, take the city consignment route Southern Loop Line operated by Tokushima Bus to the left (南部循環線・左回り), route number 33. Get off in front of the ropeway next to Shinmachi.
According to the official timetable, the ride takes approximately 2 minutes, costs 250 yen for adults, and is available without reservation. After getting off, follow the walking map to the entrance of the hall building. This stop is not the ropeway platform itself.
The revised timetable on April 1, 2026 shows departures from the station from 09:10 to 18:10 on both weekdays and weekends. There will be time waiting for the bus and walking from the stop to the hall, so if there is no bus to catch right away, walking may be faster. You should not assume that you can use this route for arriving at the station late at night.

Bizan Mt. It takes about 6 minutes by separate ropeway to Bizan/眉山 Summit Station. The basic operating hours are 09:00 to 21:00 from April to October and 09:00 to 17:30 from November to March, but there may be service suspensions and time changes. For Tokushima Central Park, choose Washinomon as your destination.
Tokushima Central Park · 徳島中央公園
Washi-no-mon Gate · 鷲の門
The official guide from the station to the park is about a 10-minute walk. The park also spreads across the railroad tracks to the northeast of the station, so the entry point may vary just by listing the name of the larger park.
If this is your first time, choose Washinomon in the southeast as your destination. From the plaza south of the station, exit onto the southern main road (National Route 192/318) pedestrian path, walk east to arrive at the plaza in front of Washinomon, and pass through the gate into the park.
“Central Park/Central Court North” in the middle of the airport bus and “Central Park/Washinomon Front” on the airport bus in the opposite direction have different markings. If you leave your luggage at the accommodation first, the route you take after getting to the station is easy to understand. If you plan to get off midway, check with the driver for the stop and direction to Washinomon.

Taxis and reserved vehicles go to the entrance of the accommodation.
- From the arrival lobby on the 1st floor, go to the official taxi stand outside the airport. The official layout shows a taxi rank next to bus stop number 1. The boarding points for reservation/app-dispatched vehicles are indicated separately.
- Show your accommodation name and Japanese address and confirm your destination and payment method. The official airport example is about 5,000 yen/30 minutes to Tokushima Station, per vehicle. It varies depending on the accommodation location, vehicle type, and traffic congestion.
- If you have made a reservation, check the vehicle and reservation information at the pickup point designated by the company and then board. Please convey the arrival flight number, date, number of people, number of luggage, and accommodation address in advance, and also receive waiting, contact, and cancellation conditions in case of flight delay.
The airport recommends advance reservations as there is often a shortage of waiting taxis. You can check the contact information for airport rental companies, such as Naruto Daiichi Taxi +81-88-685-5555 and Tokushima Daiichi Kotsu Naruto Sales Office +81-88-685-7777, in the official list. When renting a car, distinguish between the airport counter and the actual pickup store.
The rental car counter (レンタカーカウンター) is marked on the map on the first floor of the airport. After arrival, go to the counter of the company where you made the reservation, present your reservation information and driving qualification documents, follow the company's instructions to the store, and complete the contract and vehicle confirmation. Not all companies provide cars right in front of the terminal.
Sky Rent-a-Car uses its airport counter, followed by a roughly four-minute branch shuttle before vehicle collection. If the counter is unattended, call +81-88-699-3977. The branch opens 09:00–19:00 and states that it cannot accommodate flights arriving after 18:40.
Do not apply these terms to other companies, but check the reservation company's acceptance deadline and delayed response.
When you start driving, set the navigation destination to your hotel parking lot. The section from the airport to downtown Tokushima in the southwest is planned to last approximately 30 minutes, but contract and pick-up times and congestion are separate.
If you are only planning to do a walking tour in the city, compare the parking and return costs, and consider renting a car when exploring various places outside the city together.

Last buses to Tokushima Station and flight delays
In the timetable applicable from October 1 to 24, 2026, the last bus from the airport → Tokushima Station is scheduled to depart at 21:10 → arrive at 21:38. JAL465 (scheduled to arrive at 21:00) is a connecting flight and is different from the station departure timetable for the airport. For travel after 25 October, please do not use these last bus times and check the new timetable.
The scheduled airport departure times during this period are 08:20, 10:25, 11:05, 11:55, 14:10, 14:55, 16:30 (Incheon flights on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), 17:05, 18:45, 19:30, 19:45, and 21:10. There are no separate day restrictions for the domestic connecting flights above, except for the Incheon flight, but if the connecting flight is suspended, buses may also be changed or suspended.
- General arrival flights: The airport/operator confirms that the passenger has left the arrival gate and informs them that departure will be delayed to accommodate the flight delay. However, it may not be available in case of major delays.
- For the Incheon Eastar Jet connection, the operator’s October timetable states that the bus leaves on time even if the flight is delayed. If you leave arrivals after 16:30, ask staff about the remaining buses or an available taxi.
- Full: If all seats are full, the bus will depart and the next bus or taxi will be routed. Seats are not guaranteed just because you are connecting to an incoming flight.
If you miss the last airport bus, ask at the official taxi stand or contact your booked operator. The airport reports taxi shortages, so arrange a late pickup in advance where possible. If you reach the station around 21:38, the last 18:10 Southern Loop Line bus towards the hall has already left.
For hotels near stations, check the remaining walking distance by address, and for hotels near halls, compare taxi or walking routes. Please inform the accommodation in advance of your available check-in time.
Station-bound airport buses do not offer seat reservations. If you are unable to use the ticket you already purchased, check with the operating company for refund/change conditions for each sales method. The express bus-only refund information has not been applied as a condition of this ticket. Operator

Naruto Station: Check the destination via Naruto Station on the Naruto Line at Airport Platform 2. The airport → Naruto Station transfer is listed in the major stop timetable revised on October 1, 2026. Separate tickets for weekdays and weekends, and exclude flights with empty airport slots.
There is no need to go back to Tokushima Station when going to the station.
UZS BUS also runs directly from airport stop 1 to Naruto Station: 800 yen per adult and about 15 minutes on board. This trial service began on 20 July 2026. Services marked “Reservation” operate only when booked by 23:59 three days before travel. Booking conditions for regular services also vary by date and peak period.
The route and payment time are different from the No. 1 bus to Tokushima Station, so please check the destination in front of the car.
Naruto Park: From Airport No. 2, take the Naruto Line bound for Naruto Park (鳴門公園) via the airport. You should not think of the trip to Naruto Station or the University of Education/Uchinoumi as a direct trip to the park. UZS BUS stops at Naruto Station, resorts, art museums, etc., but Naruto Park is not on the list of stops.
Whirlpool tourist facility: Naruto Station, Naruto Park, and sightseeing boat dock are each different destinations. The map on this page covers movement within Tokushima city, so it does not provide guidance on how to get off at each attraction and then walk or transfer to a bus. Do I need to make a reservation for the airport bus?

Where do I get off at Tokushima Station?
The final stop is the drop-off area at the rotary in front of JR Tokushima Station on the south side. Get off, collect your luggage, and then go to the pedestrian walkway near the station building. Don't confuse the drop-off location with Stop 15, where you catch the bus to the airport on your return. The actual stopping location will be as instructed by the driver.
How do I get to Awa Odori Hall from the airport?
From Tokushima Station, walk southwest towards Shinmachibashi to Awa Odori Kaikan; official guidance gives about 10 minutes. To reduce walking, take the anticlockwise Southern Loop bus (南部循環線・左回り) from stop 3 to Ropeway-mae (ロープウェイ前), about 2 minutes away, then walk to the entrance. The separate city-bus fare is 250 yen; add waiting time.
How do I get from Tokushima Station to the Bizan Ropeway platform?
Go to Awa Odori Kaikan, then floor 5 for the ropeway’s lower boarding station. The hall is about 10 minutes on foot from Tokushima Station, or a separate city-bus ride and walk. The ropeway ride to the summit takes about 6 minutes. Check the hall’s current operating hours and closures.
Can I take the bus with a large suitcase?
