Ordinary admission costs 2,300 yen for adults, 1,100 yen for elementary and junior high school children, or 400 yen for preschool children aged three and older. Under-threes enter free. Busy days may require date- or time-specific online tickets. Night events use separate tickets.
Opening hours
Normal hours are 09:00–17:00, last admission 16:00. There is no regular weekly closing day, but maintenance closures occur in June and December. NIGHT AQUAWORLD on selected Saturdays and special event days runs 17:45–20:00, last admission 19:00. Follow official notices for other closures or changed hours.

How to get to Aqua World Oarai Aquarium
From Oarai Station, take the Umimachi Line (うみまちライン) sightseeing route (観光ルート). After about 20 minutes, alight at Aqua World Oarai (アクアワールド・大洗), then walk about one minute to the aquarium. Adult bus fare is 200 yen per ride. Other loop routes do not stop here; check the sightseeing route before boarding.

2026 maintenance closures
Closed for maintenance June 23–24 and December 7–11, 2026. Check whether these overlap your dates. Date- and time-specific admission may apply on busy days.
Food-court closure planned November 2026–March 2027
The food court is scheduled to close November 1, 2026–mid-March 2027. Check dining-area notices before visiting during this period and plan meals separately instead of relying on a food-court lunch.
