Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium · 沖縄美ら海水族館
At Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, watch whale sharks and manta rays swimming in the Kuroshio Sea tank. View it through the large front window, then look up at the fish from the Aqua Room. The aquarium is in Ocean Expo Park in Motobu, in the north of the main island.

Admission is 2,180 yen for adults, 1,440 yen for high-school students and 710 yen for elementary and junior-high students. Preschool children under six enter free; school grades follow Japan's April school-year system. Tropical Dream Center and paid sightseeing carts cost extra. Aquarium admission is not an admission charge for the whole of Ocean Expo Park.
Opening hours
Normal hours are 08:30–18:30, with last admission at 17:30. The official information lists no scheduled closures through 31 March 2027. Check notices for your date for temporary closures or changed hours.

Two perspectives on the Kuroshio tank
The front viewing window looks into the large tank where whale sharks and manta rays swim. In the Aqua Room, you can look up at the fish from below. These different viewpoints offer different ways to enjoy the same Kuroshio Sea tank.
How to get to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium
Board northbound Yanbaru Express at Kencho Kitaguchi, the prefectural office north-entrance stop, and alight at Kinen Koen Mae. Walk about 10 minutes to the aquarium entrance. Fares differ depending on whether you board at Naha Airport or Kencho Kitaguchi.

Before you visit
Choose your return bus before planning the visit
For a bus trip from Naha, select your return departure first, then plan sightseeing around it. Leave time to walk back to Kinen Koen Mae after the visit. Check the timetable applicable to your date for both directions.

Separate tickets for the aquarium and botanical garden
Tropical Dream Center is in the same Ocean Expo Park but is not included in an ordinary aquarium ticket. Allow for separate admission fees and visiting time if you plan to see both.

Does an aquarium ticket include Tropical Dream Center?
No. Tropical Dream Center requires a separate ticket. Older information about half-price entry with an ordinary aquarium ticket no longer matches the conditions. The official half-price discount applies to aquarium annual-pass holders.
