Admission
There is no admission charge to walk Tojinbo’s coast. Viewing facilities, boats and parking cost extra.
Opening hours
The coast is listed as freely accessible 24 hours without regular closed days. Shops, viewing facilities and boats have seasonal hours. April–October guidance normally lists shops 09:00–17:00 and boats 09:00–16:00. Boat services may stop due to sea conditions or season.

How to get to Tojinbo
Take the Echizen Railway Mikuni Awara Line from Fukui towards Mikuni and get off there. Transfer to a Tojinbo-bound Keifuku bus, then walk about five minutes from Tojinbo stop to the coast. Rail takes about 50 minutes and the bus about 10 minutes, excluding waits.

The weekday rail/bus connection timetable was revised on 1 October 2024. Adult one-way fares are 780 yen for Fukui–Mikuni rail, 280 for Mikuni Station–Tojinbo bus and 570 for Tojinbo–Awara-Yunomachi bus. Check the departure station and bus direction, and use the separate weekend/public-holiday timetable. Check visit-date service changes with operators too.

Check boat operation before travelling
Boats may stop running due to weather, sea conditions or season. Check same-day operation before departure if a boat trip is your priority. Mikuni, Mikuni-Minato and Awara Onsen are different boarding points; check the station you will return to by bus.
