Admission
Tunnel and platform admission is 500 yen for individual adults or 300 yen for elementary and junior high school children. The adult rate applies to ages 15 and older excluding junior high school students. Fees apply from July 1, 2025, including the first platform and the second platform reached by lift. Follow official guidance for group rates and exemptions.
Opening hours
The viewing facilities operate year-round. Hours are 08:00–18:00 May–October, 08:00–17:00 November and 09:00–17:00 December–April. Last admission is not separately listed in official information; ask the facility if arriving late. Follow your date’s notices for temporary changes.

The viewing facilities include a first platform and a second reached by lift. Visit each to see the waterfall from different heights.
How to get to Fukuroda Falls
Walk about 40 minutes from JR Fukuroda Station, or take a bus to Takimoto and walk about ten minutes. The Ibaraki waterfall course walks outward and returns by bus. Enter through the viewing tunnel, explore the platforms, then take a Fukuroda-ekimae-bound bus from Takimoto stand 1. Bus fare is 260 yen. The second platform uses the lift inside the tunnel.

Before you visit
Walking from the station to the falls
Walking from Fukuroda Station takes about 40 minutes. If taking a bus, you still need to walk about ten minutes from Takimoto. Allow time between train or bus arrival and the waterfall entrance.
Return bus and Mito-bound train
Take a Fukuroda-ekimae-bound bus from Takimoto, then change to the Mito-bound Suigun Line. Check buses and trains together for your date. Delays may cause a missed connection; check the next service too. Mito–Fukuroda JR single fare of 1,040 yen is an Eki-net reference checked October 8, 2026. Does the lift to the second platform cost extra?
No. Viewing-facility admission includes both platforms and the lift to the second.
