Tsuruga Castle is recognisable by its red tiles. Walk the surrounding grounds to view the exterior, then enter the keep for Aizu history exhibitions. To see Rinkaku Tea House too, choose the combined ticket for both.

Admission
Keep admission costs ¥410 for adults and ¥150 for elementary and junior high school students. The adult combined keep and Rinkaku ticket costs ¥520. Check official conditions for free admission for visitors with disabilities.
Opening hours
The keep opens 08:30–17:00, with last admission at 16:30, year-round. Park illumination hours are different from keep visiting hours.

How to get to Tsuruga Castle
Take the Haikara-san or Akabe loop bus from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station to Tsurugajo Iriguchi. Walk about five minutes to the castle. The buses loop in opposite directions; check the station-bound stop and direction for your return.

Allow for internal stairs
Visiting the keep requires stairs. If stairs are difficult for you, ask the facility which areas you can visit before entering, and consider viewing the exterior from the surrounding grounds.
