Visitor information
Admission
Worship in the grounds is free. Daruma painting costs 1,500 yen for 12 cm or 2,000 yen for 15 cm. Separate prayers, souvenirs and goods are not included.
Opening hours
Office and daruma hall hours are 09:00–17:00. Workshop reception is 10:00–15:30, with reserved start times 10:00–15:00. The workshop closes at 16:00. Follow separate guidance for prayer reception and event-day operation.

How to get to Shorinzan Darumaji
At Takasaki Station west exit stand 4, take Gururin Shorinzan Line route 1 to Shorinzan-iriguchi. Walk about five minutes to the temple. For the upper workshop, climb about 200 more steps beyond the main gate.

Before you visit
Stairs to the workshop
Walk about five minutes from Shorinzan-iriguchi to the temple, then climb about 200 more steps beyond the main gate to the upper workshop. Allow time for the stairs and waiting for your activity.

Worship and workshop reception hours differ
The daruma hall opens 09:00–17:00; workshop reception is 10:00–15:30 and the workshop closes at 16:00. Reserved start times are 10:00–15:00. Snow or typhoons may suspend activities.

Same-day cancellations and no-shows incur a 50% cancellation fee; late arrivals may lose their place.
