Admission
Collections: standard admission 510 yen, university students 310. High-school students and younger and ages 65+ are free; check proof requirements and conditions. Shukkeien combined ticket: standard 660, university students 350. Special-exhibition fees vary.
Opening hours
Normal hours are 09:00–17:00, last admission 16:30. Fridays extend to 20:00 or 19:00 depending on exhibition/period. Closed Mondays, 25 December–1 January and display-change days. Exceptions apply when Monday is a public holiday and during some special exhibitions; check your date’s closure calendar.

See works in the museum, then walk to neighbouring Shukkeien. Choose a garden/collections combined ticket for both.
How to get to Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum
Take route 2 or 6 from Hiroshima Station to Hatchobori, then route 9 towards Hakushima to Shukkeien-mae. The museum is near the stop, beside Shukkeien. Return on route 9 towards Hatchobori, then route 2 or 6 to Hiroshima Station. With transfer conditions met, adult fares are 240 yen one way or 480 return. With cash, collect a transfer ticket on first alighting; it is valid that day. With transport IC, tap on every boarding/alighting and transfer within 60 minutes of first alighting. The opposite-direction return after visiting requires a new fare.

Friday evening opening in 2026–2027
On Fridays between 1 April and 23 September 2026, the museum closes at 20:00, with last admission at 19:30. Between 24 September 2026 and 31 March 2027, Friday closing is 19:00, with last admission at 18:30. Check the exhibition and operating information for your visiting date too.
