Walk beside Senshu Park’s moat and explore the castle grounds on the hill. It is a convenient place for a short city walk after arriving at Akita Station.

Admission
Walking in the park is free. General admission inside Kubota Castle’s Osumi Yagura is ¥150 per person per visit, free for high school students and younger.
Opening hours
The park is open year-round. Kubota Castle’s Osumi Yagura opens 09:00–16:30 from 1 April to 30 November. Hours may extend to 19:00 during the summer school holidays; check the information for your date.
What to see at Senshu Park
Walk from the moat to Ninomaru
Follow the waterside beside the moat, then continue uphill to the Ninomaru site. To reduce slopes, finish your walk by the moat.
How to get to Senshu Park
From Akita Station, Pocket Park is about five minutes on foot. The uphill Ninomaru site is about 15 minutes away. Plan your walking time around the part of the park you want to see.
Before you visit
Osumi Yagura closes in winter
Kubota Castle’s Osumi Yagura closes from 1 December to 31 March. The park and indoor facilities have different opening arrangements; check your date’s opening information before planning to go inside.
