Official tourism information lists no separate admission amount for the walking area. Check cruises and nearby paid facilities separately. Adult bus fares from JR Omihachiman are 260 yen each way or 520 yen return, excluding cruises.
Opening hours

How to get to Hachiman-bori
From Omihachiman north exit, take a service stopping at Hachiman-bori (Osugicho) Hachimanyama Ropeway-guchi. After the roughly seven-minute ride, walk directly from the stop to the canal. Allow extra time for waiting, walking around and meals. Check your station-bound return bus too.
