Admission
General admission costs ¥300 per person per day. Visitors under 18 and students at elementary, junior high, high school and other eligible schools can enter free under the official conditions.
Opening hours
The West and East Gates have different hours. In October, the West Gate opens 06:00–17:30 and the East Gate 08:30–17:00. In April, May and September, they open 05:30–18:30 and 07:00–18:00 respectively; from June to August, 05:30–19:00 and 07:00–18:00. Check the official monthly schedule for other months. The park closes from 29 to 31 December.
What to see at Tamamo Park
A moat filled with seawater
Takamatsu Castle drew seawater into its moat. Walk through the park to explore the castle site and moat. With Takamatsu Port and the stations nearby, you can fit a visit around your boat or train journey if timings allow.

How to get to Tamamo Park
The park is about a 3-minute walk from JR Takamatsu Station. By Kotoden, get off at Takamatsu-Chikko Station; the park is beside it. Remember which gate you entered through to help you return towards the station or harbour.

Opening hours for each gate
The East and West Gates open and close at different times, and hours change by month. For an early morning or late afternoon visit, first check the hours of the gate you will use.
