Admission

Individual admission costs 420 yen for adults; elementary and junior high school children and those aged 70 and older pay 210 yen. Children below elementary school age enter free. Groups of 20 or more: adults 320 yen, elementary and junior high school children 160 yen. Follow official guidance for other group rates and exemptions.

Open 09:00–17:00 February 20–September 30 and 09:00–16:30 October 1–February 19. Closed December 29–31. Plum festival hours may differ.

How to get to Kodokan

Turn right from Mito Station ticket gates to the north exit, then continue via the deck and Ichozaka. The main gate is closed; use the side entrance on its right to reach reception. Official route photographs can help you find it.
