Individual admission costs ¥570 for adults and university students, ¥410 for high school students, and ¥210 for elementary and junior high school students.

From 1 February to 30 November, the mausoleum opens 09:00–16:50, with last admission at 16:30. From 1 December to 31 January, it opens 09:00–16:20, with last admission at 16:00.

Look closely at Date Masamune’s mausoleum architecture. After climbing the approach, pause in front to see the building’s decorations.

How to get to Zuihoden

Take Loople to Zuihoden-mae and climb the approach, with about 80 steps to the entrance and 30 within the grounds. For the Tozai subway, get off at Omachi-Nishi-koen and walk about 15–20 minutes.

Before you visit

Stairs along the approach

There are about 80 steps to the ticket office and 30 within the grounds, with many stone-paved paths. If climbing and descending stairs is difficult, ask which areas you can visit before going.

Can I visit Zuihoden without stairs?

There are about 80 steps to the ticket office and 30 within the grounds. Do not plan this as a stair-free visit. If you need assistance with access, ask the facility which areas you can visit before going.
