Cable car and chairlift fares are the same: adults one way 490 yen or return 980 yen; children 250 yen or 500 yen. The adult ordinary Keio fare from Shinjuku to Takaosanguchi is separately 430 yen one way.
Opening hours
The cable car ride takes about 6 minutes one way, usually starting at 08:00. September–November last services are 17:45 weekdays or 18:00 weekends/public holidays. Inspections, maintenance, severe weather and events can change operations; check same-day notices too.

After the cable car, walk to the nearby viewpoint. See scenery and walk around the middle slopes. Reaching the summit requires further mountain walking.

How to get to Mount Takao Cable Car
Take a Takaosanguchi-bound train from Keio Shinjuku. Some services require a Kitano transfer. From Takaosanguchi, walk about 5 minutes to Kiyotaki for the cable car.

Allow time for the descending cable car
Last services vary by season and weekday; inspections, weather and events can change them. Check the last descent before walking. During suspension, move the mountain visit to another day rather than attempt a difficult walking descent.

Walk about 5 minutes from Takaosanguchi to cable car Kiyotaki Station. Some Keio services require a Kitano transfer; Keio and cable car fares are separate.
