Individual admission, tax included: adults 800 yen; elementary/junior-/high-school students 400; preschool children free. Groups of 20 or more: adults 600, students 300.
Opening hours
The main entrance opens 09:00–18:00, with last admission at 17:30. The secondary entrance opens weekdays 10:00–15:00 and weekends/public holidays 09:00–16:00. Use the main entrance for cash payment.

How to get to The Sand Museum
Take a local bus from Tottori Station terminal to Suna-no-Bijutsukan-mae (砂の美術館前), about 21 minutes by bus, then one minute on foot to the museum. From Sakyu-Higashiguchi (砂丘東口), walk about five minutes.

The exhibition runs 24 April 2026–3 January 2027, with no closures during that period. The museum closes for display changes; for later visits, check the next opening date.
Hours and payment differ by entrance
Only the main entrance accepts cash. The secondary entrance opens weekdays 10:00–15:00 and weekends/public holidays 09:00–16:00, closing earlier than the main entrance. For late-afternoon arrivals, use the main entrance before its 17:30 last admission.
