Opening hours
The planned 2026 Alpine Route season is 15 April–30 November. These are mountain transport dates, not Murodo-area opening hours; do not apply this route outside the season. Timetables vary by season/weekdays/weekends, with weather, safety or crowding changes/suspensions. Choose outbound and final return services for your date. Snow Wall visiting dates are separate.

How to get to Murodo
Take Toyama Chiho Railway’s Tateyama-bound train from Dentetsu-Toyama to Tateyama, cable car to Bijodaira, then highland bus to Murodo. Return by bus to Bijodaira, cable car to Tateyama and train to Dentetsu-Toyama. Allow ticket collection and transfers between rail arrival and reserved Tateyama departure.

Before you visit
Check your reserved departure station
Register for WEB tickets, then choose date, section, one-way/return and departure. Toyama-side times refer to Tateyama Station, not the Dentetsu-Toyama train. Busy-period guidance advises arriving 30 minutes before departure and collecting tickets 15 minutes before.
Choose the complete journey back to Toyama first
Return to Murodo Terminal before your bus. Take highland bus and cable car down to Tateyama, then a Dentetsu-Toyama-bound train. Check through to the private railway; the last mountain descent alone is insufficient. November’s last mountain connections are earlier.
Return timetable: 15 April–3 November Return timetable: 4–30 November
Check travel-date ticket sales
WEB periods, deadlines and bookable departures vary by season/product. Choose your date/Tateyama section to check sales and seats. For dates without sales, consult same-day guidance.
