Admission
Official guidance specifies no separate admission fee for village walks. Vehicle conservation contributions are 1,000 yen ordinary/mini cars, 300 yen motorcycles, 3,000 yen medium buses and 5,000 yen large buses. Car/mini-car fees apply from 1 October 2025. This differs from individual bus-visitor admission; bus fares, indoor exhibitions and food are extra.
Opening hours
Village visiting hours are 08:00–17:00 April–November and 09:00–17:00 December–March. Enter the car park by 16:00. The village closes on 31 December and 1 January. Check individual exhibition/restaurant hours separately.

How to get to Gokayama Suganuma Gassho Village
Take the World Heritage Bus from Takaoka Station stand 7 to Suganuma. Tourism guidance gives about one minute from stop to village. Return from the Takaoka-bound stop. Check the official map for entry paths/return boarding, travel-date services and unreserved-seat conditions. Ask the village about step-free access.

Return on the Takaoka-bound World Heritage Bus. Find the stop on the official local map. For a Toyama hotel, check onward trains from Takaoka too. Ask the village about step-free access.

Using the Gokayama pass
The adult pass costs 2,800 yen for two days from first use on World Heritage Bus services between Takaoka Station/Shin-Takaoka and Sasara-kan-mae. Toyama–Takaoka trains, accommodation, indoor exhibitions and food are excluded. It is incompatible with reserved-seat tickets and does not secure seats.

It is not individual admission charged to bus visitors. Bus fares, indoor exhibitions and meals cost extra.
Does buying Gokayama pass secure a bus seat?
The pass alone does not secure a seat and cannot be combined with reserved-seat tickets. Check travel-date unreserved-seat conditions and return buses first.
