Ikaho Stone Steps: bus access and a practical walk

Ikaho Onsen Stone Steps · 伊香保温泉 石段街

Ikaho’s Stone Steps are a 365-step street through the hot-spring town. Use the bus stop closest to the steps, then decide how far uphill you want to walk.

Open the Ikaho Stone Steps camera for part of the stone-step street; it cannot show every step or facility.

Choose the right bus arrival point

The local tourism association lists Kan-etsu Transport buses from Shibukawa Station. Check which service stops near the Stone Steps before boarding.

Routes from Takasaki use a different operator and approach, so do not assume that every Ikaho-bound bus leaves from the same station.

Plan for the steps

The street was extended to 365 steps in 2010. Shops sit along the climb, so a short lower-section walk and a full climb are different plans.

If you have luggage or prefer fewer stairs, decide in advance where to start and finish, and confirm the walk or pickup from your accommodation.

What the image covers

The city camera covers the Stone Steps and part of the nearby street. It cannot show every section of the climb or the inside of bathing facilities.
