Kamikochi Kappa Bridge: bus access and the riverside walk

Kappa Bridge is a short walk from the Kamikochi Bus Terminal. Private cars, rental cars and motorcycles are restricted, so plan the transfer before setting out.
The Kamikochi Kappa Bridge camera shows the bridge area and mountains beyond; it is not a trail-opening notice.
Use the approved transfer route
Private vehicles are restricted in Kamikochi. Use the official guidance for the Sawando or Akandana transfer areas and leave time for the bus connection.
From the terminal to the bridge
Kappa Bridge is about a five-minute walk from the bus terminal. The bridge and the riverside are a different plan from a longer mountain walk, so keep onward hiking time separate.
What the camera faces
The camera shows Kappa Bridge with the Hotaka range beyond. It cannot confirm the status of every trail or route.
