There are separate views of Hirosaki Park’s Otemon entrance, Aomori Station square and the sea at Tappi Cape. For a Hirosaki blossom trip, the park camera is more relevant than the station view.
If you are going for Hirosaki’s blossoms, leave time to enjoy the park. It is a journey from Aomori Station, and adding Oirase or Lake Towada on the same day can leave you spending more time in transit than at the sights.
Hirosaki blossoms shape a spring trip; the Nebuta festival makes for a very different summer visit. In winter, snow changes how long even a town walk takes.
There is more here than apple sweets. Ichigo-ni, a seafood soup with sea urchin and abalone, offers a very different taste of Aomori.
