• Ikaho Stone Steps: bus access and a practical walk

  Ikaho’s Stone Steps are a 365-step street through the hot-spring town. Use the bus stop closest to the steps, then decide how far uphill you want to walk.

• Arima Onsen: arriving in the hot-spring town and using day baths

  Arima Onsen sits in the hills north of Kobe. Treat the journey to the town, the walk to your accommodation and any day-bath visit as separate steps.

• Yubara Onsen footbath: location and use

  The hand-and-foot bath in Yubara Onsen sits at the foot of Tsuzumi Bridge in the town centre. It is a short warming stop during a walk, not a changing-room bathhouse.
