Admission

General admission costs ¥500, or ¥250 for university students and other eligible categories; high school students and younger visitors enter free. Special exhibitions have separate fees.

Opening hours

Hours are 09:00–17:00, extended to 18:00 during Golden Week and June–September. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. Closed the fourth Monday each month, or the next day if a public holiday, 30 December–1 January and designated maintenance days.

How to get to Sannai-Maruyama Historical Site

Take Nebutan-go from stand 2 at Aomori Station’s West Exit and get off at Sannai-Maruyama Iseki-mae (三内丸山遺跡前). The adult fare is ¥300 per ride. The site is about one minute on foot from the stop. From the roundabout, go to Jomon Jiyukan’s ticket and entry area. Check your return bus before leaving too.
