How to get to Kakunodate Aoyagi Samurai House

Follow the samurai district signs from Kakunodate Station to 角館町表町下丁3. The tourist association gives a walk of about 15 minutes and the city about 20 minutes. Check the route you will take and allow time accordingly.

Confirm winter closing with the house

For December–March, the tourist association lists closing at 16:30 and the city at 16:00. For a late-afternoon winter visit, ask Aoyagi for that day’s closing time.
