Admission

Ordinary ages 18 and above admission is 2,500 yen. Himeji residents pay 1,000, not applicable to visitors. Under-18s are free, continuing through the following 31 March after the year you turn 18. Adult castle/Koko-en combined admission is 2,600 yen.

How to get to Himeji Castle

Take JR Special Rapid from Sannomiya towards Himeji/Aboshi/Banshu-Ako to Himeji. Allow about 40 minutes aboard and 20 minutes on foot to the castle. Station access/waits are extra. Tower viewing includes stairs/slopes and no lift.
