Birds may not always be visible. Images are not acquired on Tuesdays (the next day when Tuesday is a holiday) or December 29–January 3, so check the capture time. The map uses an approximate facility reference.

Use the northern lakeshore center’s image for waterbird-viewing context, distinct from Biwako Terrace high above the lake.
Images may not update when the center is closed. Missing birds or a repeated image do not by themselves establish camera failure.
An unchanged preview does not rule out a working video at the source. Open the official page to check. If its still image has not changed either, check the timestamp and operating notices.
“Connection last checked” records a link check, not an image capture time or confirmation of a live broadcast.
