What does this camera show?
Use this view as a reference for mountain scenery near the Mount Kintoki summit. It is a different hiking area from Hakone-Yumoto and Owakudani, so check weather and restrictions for your actual trail and starting point.
Official camera page. Select “Open official camera” to see the operator’s current view and service notices.
A summit view cannot show wind, fog or footing across an entire route. Postpone hiking in severe weather or an emergency and follow official safety guidance.
About this map pin
Approximate position based on the official facility or landmark. The exact camera mounting point is not confirmed.
The map also shows rail lines serving Ashigara Station. The distance above is a straight line, not a walking time. Check the actual entrance and route below.
The closest station in a straight line may not be the easiest way in. The route also ends at the camera reference point, so change it to the place you actually plan to visit. Check buses, journey time and first or last trains in the route results.

Distances are straight lines between camera reference points, not actual journey distances or times.
Periodically updated JMA images show Owakudani's volcanic landscape and visibility. This is not continuous video, and fog or steam may obscure the view.
The Hakone Tourist Association's camera covers the road and pedestrian approach near Yumoto Station, a gateway to the hot-spring area. It does not show bathing areas or the entire onsen town.
From Community Plaza Kirara, look across Lake Yamanaka toward Mount Fuji. Switch between wide-angle and telephoto images on the official page to see how the framing changes.
