Frequently asked questions

Do I transfer directly from JR Nagano Station to an Obuse train?

Nagano Electric Railway trains to Obuse use a separate underground station. Leave JR’s second-floor ticket gates towards Zenkoji Exit/MIDORI, take the escalator on the right down outside to the first floor, then go underground and left towards the railway station. The operator advises about 15 minutes including ticket purchase. Do not schedule a short transfer using only the JR arrival and railway departure times.
