Osaka Castle Main Tower
Osaka Castle Museum大阪城天守閣
Explore Toyotomi Hideyoshi and castle history through exhibitions inside the main tower. No tower ticket is needed for exterior and moat walks alone. Other paid park areas are separate.
- AdmissionAdults 1,200 yen; university/high school students 600 yen; junior high school age and below free, subject to proof requirements. Overseas students should check official ISIC/age documentation conditions.
- Hours09:00–18:00, last admission 17:30. Closed 28 December–1 January. Busy periods can close the ticket queue earlier.
- Getting thereFrom Chuo Line Tanimachi 4-chome exit 9 or Morinomiya exits 1/3-B, follow park signs to the main tower. The official FAQ gives about 15–20 minutes from station to tower. The Tanimachi 4-chome route through Otemon is described as relatively level. Exhibitions typically take 50–60 minutes, or about 90 for a closer look; ticket and entry queues are extra.
Dotonbori
道頓堀
Explore the signs around Ebisubashi and the riverside, then stay for dinner. Choose meal time according to a quick takoyaki snack or a seated okonomiyaki meal. Street walks include no paid facility admission. Food, performances and cruises cost separately.

- Getting thereFrom Namba, follow street signs towards Dotonbori and Ebisubashi. Tourism bureau access gives about 5 minutes to the riverside from Midosuji Namba or 10 minutes from Nankai/JR Namba. These times do not start at platforms or your hotel door and vary by exit.
Umeda Sky Building Kuchu Teien Observatory
KUCHU TEIEN OBSERVATORY空中庭園展望台
See Osaka's cityscape and rivers from Kuchu Teien Observatory. After indoor views, you can walk the rooftop Sky Walk subject to same-day operations. The deck charges admission. Use its dedicated entrance rather than office lifts.

- Getting thereOfficial walks take about 7 minutes from JR Osaka or 9 minutes from Metro Umeda. From Midosuji Line Umeda, use the North Gate towards Yodobashi Umeda, pass LINKS UMEDA, go between Grand Front's north/south buildings and across the intersection to the short official-route underpass. Come up and cross to Sky Building. The 9 minutes starts at this station; hotel travel, platform travel and ticket queues are extra.

Kaiyukan
Osaka Aquarium KAIYUKAN海遊館
Choose Kaiyukan for a leisurely look at marine life in large tanks. First choose date-specific hours and tickets; eat before or after the visit. Re-entry ended on 15 June 2026.
- AdmissionPrices vary by date. The selected result for 8 October 2026 is ages 16 and above 2,800 yen, ages 7–15 1,400 yen, ages 3–6 700 yen and ages 2 and below free. The same calendar lists adults at 3,200 yen on 10 October or 3,500 yen on 11/12 October. Select your booking date first.
- Hours8 October 2026: 10:30–20:00. Recheck other dates in the operating calendar. Last admission is 1 hour before closing.
- Getting thereWalk about 5 minutes from Chuo Line Osakako exit 1, following Ferris wheel/Tempozan Marketplace signs. Official school-group material gives 90–120 minutes for one circuit. Entry queues, meals and station travel are extra; allow more for leisurely viewing or breaks with children.
Minoh Falls
箕面大滝
Choose Minoh for a longer riverside walk instead of city shopping. The walk from Hankyu Minoh to the falls takes about 40–50 minutes; allow for the return and breaks too. The path has no night lighting. Waterfall walks include no paid facility visits; transport and snacks cost extra.

- Getting thereTake the Hankyu Takarazuka Line from Osaka-umeda to Ishibashi handai-mae, then transfer to the Minoh Line. Enter the waterfall path from Minoh Station, distinct from Minoh-kayano.
Nintoku Emperor's Mausoleum
Nintoku-tenno-ryo Kofun仁徳天皇陵古墳
Aerial footage at Mozu's free visitor centre shows the whole shape of the huge mound. The Nintoku Emperor's Mausoleum is viewed externally, not entered. For the external worship area, check hours and date-specific restrictions below. During controls, choose visitor-centre exhibitions alone. Museums and gardens are separate options.
- Getting thereWalk about 10 minutes west from JR Hanwa Line Mozu Station. From Tennoji, choose a train stopping at Mozu.
- HoursStandard external worship hours: 08:30–17:00. Worship is generally possible year-round, but weekends, Japanese public holidays, 29 December–3 January, events or management can restrict it. Check your date's notices; during controls, visit only the centre's exhibitions.

Mozu Kofungun Visitor Center
Mozu Mounded Tombs Visitor Center百舌鳥古墳群ビジターセンター
The whole mound shape is difficult to see from ground level. Start with these free exhibitions for aerial footage and information on the mound group.
- AdmissionOrdinary admission is free. Meals, bicycles, storage and separate activities are excluded.
- Hours09:00–18:00; closed 29 December–3 January. These facility hours differ from worship-area access.
- Getting there350 metres west of JR Hanwa Line Mozu Station, east of the Nintoku Mausoleum worship area. Distinguish this from the approximately 10-minute station-to-mausoleum walk.
Namba Parks garden
Parks Gardenパークスガーデン
Choose the garden for a departure-morning walk within Namba. This rooftop garden spans floors 2–9 of the Namba Parks shopping complex. Start on lower floors and come down when time requires.
- AdmissionIndependent garden visits are free. Paid guided tours, cinema, meals and shopping are excluded.
- HoursGarden 10:00–24:00; closures follow Namba Parks. Shops 11:00–21:00; restaurants 11:00–22:00, with individual exceptions. Distinguish garden opening from business opening.
- Getting thereConnected to Nankai Namba. Official walks: Midosuji Namba about 7 minutes; Sennichimae Namba about 10; Yotsubashi Namba/JR Namba about 15. Hotel-to-station and building-entrance-to-garden-floor travel are extra.
