Admission
General worship at the main sanctuary's worship area is free. Special worship to see the corridors and lanterns costs ¥700. The National Treasure Hall and Manyo Botanical Garden charge separately.
Opening hours
General worship is available 6:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. March–October and 7 a.m.–5 p.m. November–February. Special worship is available 9 a.m.–4 p.m.; ceremonial suspension dates and times are described in the visit tips below.

How to get to Kasugataisha Shrine · 春日大社
Walk about 25 minutes from Kintetsu-Nara Station to Kasugataisha. For buses, take a Kasugataisha Honden-bound service from JR Nara or Kintetsu-Nara and get off at Kasugataisha Honden. The official three-minute walk from the stop covers the botanical garden main entrance and Kasuga Ninai Chaya. Add separate time to walk to the main sanctuary and wait at the general worship area.

Visit tips
Check whether special worship is available
Special worship is available 9 a.m.–4 p.m., but suspended all day around March 8–13 and December 20–January 7. The 1st, 11th, and 21st each month and official ceremonial days have exceptions such as morning suspensions. Events and ceremonies may change hours or temporarily suspend access; check visit-day notices. General worship follows its own seasonal hours.
