Day 3: Rest at Awara's hot springs

Rest at your hot-spring hotel and spend a second night. If you want to go out, visit the footbath in front of Awara-Yunomachi Station.

On the final day of the three-night Fukui itinerary, use the free shuttle. The 2026 schedule runs on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from April 4 through November 29. It seats 24, with priority for guided-tour participants. Get off at the reconstructed townscape stop and follow the entrance signs. This shuttle does not run on weekdays.

Is Awaraonsen Station the right stop for my hot spring hotel?

JR Awaraonsen Station and Echizen Railway's Awara-Yunomachi Station are different. The itinerary moving from Tojinbo to the hot springs uses a bus to Awara-Yunomachi. Check the route from that station in your booked hotel's access guide. For pickup from JR Awaraonsen Station, arrange travel to that station and the shuttle reservation separately.
