The official tourism guide lists no separate grounds worship fee. Shrine office items such as stones, charms, ema plaques and goshuin stamps cost extra.

Worship at the shrine associated with the white-hare legend. To see the coast, allow sightseeing time beyond the shrine visit.
How to get to Hakuto Shrine
At Tottori Station, take route 41 Hakuto Coast Line towards Shikano to Hakuto Jinja-mae (白兎神社前). Allow roughly 40 minutes on the bus, then five minutes' walk to the shrine. The adult fare is JPY 610 one way or JPY 1,220 return. Return towards Tottori Station and check both directions for your date.

Before you visit
Separate worship from office hours
Allow a suggested 30–45 minutes for the grounds and general worship. Arrive during office hours, 09:00–16:00, for charms or enquiries. Check reservation information for a separately arranged prayer.

Combining the shrine with the dunes
Hakuto Shrine is west of Tottori City, outside walking distance of the dunes for a combined visit. For both by bus, allow a transfer at Tottori Station. Return buses from the shrine head towards Tottori.

Can I walk from Tottori Sand Dunes to Hakuto Shrine?
These are separate areas for sightseeing. By bus, allow a transfer at Tottori Station to the Hakuto Coast Line and choose a shrine-to-station return service.
