Admission
Permanent admission costs JPY 840 at the general rate or JPY 470 for university students; students must show their student card. Senior secondary students and under-18s, including primary and junior secondary students, enter free. General special-exhibition admission is JPY 340 extra. How to get to Lake Biwa Museum
Take an Ohmi bus to Lake Biwa Museum from JR Kusatsu Station's west-exit stand 2. Get off at the museum stop after about 25 minutes and walk to the building. Adult bus fares are JPY 480 one way or JPY 960 return, separate from admission. Check both departure times together.
