Admission

Individual fees effective from 1 April 2026 are JPY 500 at the general and university student rate and JPY 200 for primary and secondary students. Preschool children enter free. For groups of 30 or more, the general and university student rate is JPY 400 and the primary and secondary student rate is JPY 100.

How to get to Ishibutai Tumulus

Take a bus stopping at Ishibutai from Kashiharajingu-mae's east-exit stand 2. Get off at Ishibutai and walk about three minutes to the tomb. Adult fares between the east exit and Ishibutai are JPY 440 one way or JPY 880 return. Check the return bus and onward train together. The existing weekday timetable is valid 1 September 2026–31 March 2027; Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays use a separate timetable.

Before you visit

Choose outward and return buses together

For a Nara City return, check the Ishibutai–Kashiharajingu-mae east-exit bus together with your onward train. Weekday bus timetables differ from those for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Restricted park parking in autumn 2026

The park car park is for bicycles and motorbikes only from 19 September to 15 November 2026. If arriving by car, check alternative parking locations and fees. Outside this period, follow park guidance for your date.
