Saitama Municipal Cartoon Art Museum displays cartoonist Kitazawa Rakuten's works and materials, plus those of artists connected with him. Combine it with a walk through the bonsai village and Omiya Bonsai Art Museum.

Admission
Admission is free for permanent and special exhibitions, including Rakuten Collection II in 2026.
Opening hours
The cartoon museum opens from 9 am to 4.30 pm. It closes on Mondays, weekdays following public holidays and from 28 December to 4 January, but opens on public holiday Mondays.

Rakuten's connections through pictures and materials
Rakuten Collection II runs from 25 July to 3 November 2026, showing pictures by painters and cartoonists connected with Rakuten alongside letters and magazine materials. For other dates, check the special exhibition then on display.
How to get to Saitama Municipal Cartoon Art Museum
The cartoon museum is about five minutes on foot from Omiya-koen Station or 15 minutes from Toro's east exit. From Omiya, walk through the park and bonsai village to the museum on Kaede-dori.

About five minutes on foot from Omiya-koen or 15 minutes from Toro's east exit. Omiya-koen offers the shorter walk for the cartoon museum alone.
