Admission is ¥2,500 for adults, ¥2,000 for university students, ¥1,000 for senior high school students and ¥500 for elementary and junior high school students. Adult groups of 20 or more pay ¥2,200. This ticket covers the Japanese garden and Main Building and New Wing exhibitions.
Opening hours
Open 09:00–17:30 in April–September and 09:00–17:00 in October–March. The museum opens year-round, with separate New Wing exhibition-changeover closures.

View the garden from inside the museum. You do not walk freely through it, a distinction to bear in mind if hoping for a garden walk.

Leave time for Japanese painting exhibits after the garden views. The museum recommends at least two hours for visiting.

How to get to Adachi Museum of Art
Exit JR Yasugi Station and go about 15 m to the right to the free museum shuttle stop. The ride takes about 20 minutes. Capacity is 25, boarding is in arrival order and reservations are unavailable. Collect one numbered return shuttle ticket per person at the museum entrance.

Visiting tips
Allow time for the Yasugi trip
Adachi Museum is in Yasugi. From Matsue, travel to Yasugi Station, then change to the shuttle. Plan around both time for the artworks and the return shuttle.
Collect your numbered return shuttle ticket
For the free shuttle back to Yasugi Station, collect one numbered ticket per person at the museum entrance. Capacity is 25 and boarding is in arrival order. Reservations are unavailable, so your preferred service may be full.
2026 New Wing exhibition-changeover closures
The New Wing closes for exhibition changeovers October 20–23 and November 16–17, 2026. Distinguish these from whole-museum closures and check New Wing information for your date.
