Sea views among the pines
Pine paths follow the sandbar. Enjoy close-up sea views and return the same way after just part of the path if preferred.
How to get to Amanohashidate
Walk about 5 minutes from Kyoto Tango Railway's Amanohashidate Station to the sandbar entrance. The full 50-minute one-way crossing is additional. Monju-based 4-day/5-day routes walk only the south and return the same way.
Visiting tips
Leave return time for a full crossing
Crossing the full sandbar takes about 50 minutes one way. Allow time for the return. For a boat return, check date-specific operations, fare and boarding point separately.
Distinguish Daitenkyo pedestrian and vessel notices
The September 2026 notice restricts vessels below the bridge and states no pedestrian impact. Recheck construction/access notices for your date officially and on site.
