Five facilities cluster in Kannawa. Walk between nearby sites, then take a bus to Chinoike and Tatsumaki, about 3 km away.

Visitor information
Admission
The seven-facility combined ticket costs ¥2,400 for high school students and older or ¥1,200 for elementary and junior high school students. It allows one entry per facility on purchase day and the following day. Bathing and bus fares are excluded.
Opening hours
All seven open 08:00–17:00 and are listed as open year-round. Official guidance gives no separate last admission, so arrive with time to finish before closing.

Hot spring scenery at each facility
See bubbling hot springs at each facility. The combined ticket is for hot spring scenery. For bathing too, spend time at accommodation or a separate bathing facility.
Kannawa’s five and the two farther away
Kannawa has Umi, Oniishibozu, Kamado, Oniyama and Shiraike hells. Chinoike and Tatsumaki are about 3 km away. To visit both areas in one day, allow buses and walking between facilities.
How to get to Beppu Jigoku Meguri
Take a Kannawa-bound route 5 from Beppu Station west bay 3. Get off at Umi Jigoku-mae or Kannawa and walk the nearby five facilities. Travel separately to Chinoike/Tatsumaki, about 3 km away.
Visiting tips
For late arrivals, start with nearby facilities
The combined ticket allows one entry per facility on purchase day and the following day, without re-entry to the same place. Visits finish at 17:00. For late arrivals, start nearby and leave unvisited places for the next day. Allow time to return from facilities to your bus stop.
Questions about Beppu Jigoku Meguri
Does the combined hells ticket include bathing?
No. It covers views of bubbling hot springs. Check separate bathing conditions and prices at accommodation or bathing facilities.
Can I walk all seven facilities?
Kannawa’s five cluster together, but Chinoike/Tatsumaki are about 3 km away. For all seven, a bus between the areas works better. Check your return bus.
