Admission
General admission costs JPY 300 per person per day. Visitors under 18 and students enrolled in eligible schools, including elementary, junior high and high schools, enter free under the official conditions.
Opening hours
West- and east-gate hours differ. In October, the west gate opens 06:00–17:30 and the east gate 08:30–17:00. In April–May and September, the west gate opens 05:30–18:30 and the east gate 07:00–18:00. In June–August, the west gate opens 05:30–19:00 and the east gate 07:00–18:00. Check the official monthly guide for other months. Closed December 29–31.
What to see at Tamamo Park
A moat filled with seawater
The former Takamatsu Castle drew seawater into its moat. Walk through the park to see the castle site and moat. With Takamatsu Port and the station nearby, you can fit the visit around your route on boat or train days.

How to get to Tamamo Park
The park is about a three-minute walk from JR Takamatsu Station. By Kotoden, get off at Takamatsu-Chikko Station; the park is beside it. Remember your entrance gate for an easier return to the station or harbour.

East and west gates open and close at different times, with monthly changes. Check your chosen gate’s hours first for an early-morning or late-afternoon visit.
