Visiting tips

Adding the mountain summit

Allow a suggested 60–90 minutes for the lower park and restored gates. The listed walks from the park are about 10 minutes to Ninomaru or 40 minutes to the summit. For the summit, add time rather than assuming descent is included in the park-walk estimate.

Jinpukaku’s long-term works closure

Jinpukaku has been closed long-term for works since December 29, 2023. Its exterior is covered too, so a complete interior and exterior visit is difficult. For the interior, check reopening information first.
