Visiting tips

Summit views and descent time

Allow a suggested 20–30 minutes for summit views. The roughly 20-minute climb from the entrance excludes summit sightseeing and descent. Add station-return time and shorten the walk if rain worsens the path.

Toilets and luggage storage before climbing

There are no mountain toilets, so use those near Sannomaru parking first. The ruins also lack coin lockers. For large luggage, check whether your station or hotel can store it before leaving.

There are no streetlights on the mountain. Official guidance allows night access but says lighting is needed, so on a first visit, climb and descend in daylight.
