Rows of red lanterns hang from bamboo through Yamaguchi’s shopping streets. This is a summer evening walk through illuminated displays rather than one continuous parade.

Central shopping streets and separate Ichinosaka River event areas

Venues include the central shopping arcades, Ichinosaka River Traffic Exchange Square and Kameyama Fureai Square. There is no common start for all events.

Getting there by train or bus

Take the Sanyo Shinkansen to Shin-Yamaguchi, transfer to the JR Yamaguchi Line for Yamaguchi, then walk to the central shopping streets.
