Planning your visit
Our editorial suggestions for planning your trip.
Book the correct viewing bank and plan the return walk before arriving; the nearest river access may not be your seat entrance.
Places to visit nearby
Nagaoka Hanabikan
ながおか花火館
Exhibits about Nagaoka's fireworks and their background.
It is a separate trip from the riverbank; plan a daytime visit rather than fitting it into the final walk to your seat.
These stops and the suggested order are editorial recommendations. Check each venue's opening hours and festival-day road closures before travelling.
