Venue and parade route

Odori Park's Nishi 1–11 blocks are the 2027 main venue. Susukino's ice displays run along Ekimae-dori between Minami 4-jo and 6-jo. Tsudome, in Higashi Ward, is separate from both downtown venues.

Getting there by train or bus

  • Take the Namboku subway from Sapporo Station to Odori; the Tozai and Toho lines also stop there. Tsudome is a separate trip: use the festival's seasonal transport guide.

History and origins

The festival began in 1950 when local students built six snow sculptures in Odori Park.
