A short trip: temple worship in Narita or Disneyland?

Stay one night near Narita Station for Naritasan worship and Omotesando meals. For arrival-day Tokyo Disneyland, compare Maihama and Shin-Urayasu accommodation. You need a flight that leaves park time after airport-to-Maihama travel, plus a ticket for your visit date.

Narita temple visits and meals

Choose this short trip when using Narita Airport and splitting small exhibitions near the station, temple visits and Omotesando meals across separate days. It does not travel to the parks or southern Chiba.

Day 1: Narita Tourist Pavilion and Omotesando

Travel from the airport to Narita City, see festival floats at the Tourist Pavilion and eat along Omotesando. If arriving late or on a closure day, omit the displays and enjoy streets and meals instead.

  1. Narita Airport railway station → Keisei Narita or JR Narita Station

Choose a train stopping in central Narita; Skyliner services run towards Nippori and Ueno instead. From Terminal 3, first reach the railway station at Terminal 2. Airport hotels and Narita Station accommodation have different locations.

  2. JR and Keisei Narita station area → Narita Tourist Pavilion

Walk about 10 minutes along Omotesando to the Tourist Pavilion. Visit its float displays, then return to the station. Allow separate time for worship farther along at the temple’s main hall.

    Access and name verification

  3. Narita Tourist Pavilion entrance → Tourist information and float displays

Explore local information on the ground floor, then festival floats upstairs. Admission is free. Before going upstairs, check official notices for elevator availability on your date. If stairs are difficult and the elevator is unavailable, visit only the ground floor.

  4. Narita Tourist Pavilion → Narita Station area

After visiting, return along Omotesando. The walk to the station takes about 10 minutes, excluding meals, queues and access to your accommodation.

    Access and name verification

Check pavilion opening days and elevator restrictions in the attraction guide. Restaurant hours and queues differ between shops.

Day 2: Naritasan worship, then the airport

If you have plenty of time before departure, visit the temple before heading to the airport.

  1. JR and Keisei Narita station area → Naritasan Somon gate via Omotesando

Walk along Omotesando’s shopping street to the Somon gate. Omotesando extends about 800 metres from the station area; reaching the main hall requires further travel from the gate.

  2. Naritasan Somon gate → Main Hall

Will I have enough Disneyland time on arrival day?

Immigration, airport travel and accommodation access reduce park time. Prepare a ticket for the correct date and park, then calculate time to entry using your actual flight. Compare the one-night arrival-day course for a short visit with the three-night course that rests on arrival day and gives the park a full second day.
