A: castle, market and coast

Stay one night in Kochi to visit the castle buildings and eat at the market on day one, then see Katsurahama’s coast the following day. Leave time after the return bus to reach your departure point.

Day 1: castle visit and a market meal

Visit Kochi Castle and the market on day one, then Katsurahama on day two. Choose this itinerary if you can reach the castle before last admission and have time for the coastal return trip before departure the following day.

  1. Kochi-Ekimae tram stop → Kochijo-Mae stop and Kochi Castle Park

From Kochi-Ekimae, take a tram towards Harimayabashi and change there to an Ino-bound tram. Get off at Kochijo-Mae and walk to the castle park. When paying cash, obtain and use the transfer ticket according to the conditions on your first tram and at the designated transfer stops. From Obiyamachi or Ohashidori, you can also consider walking directly to the park.

Checks before departure and FAQs

Can I reserve MY Yu Bus seats in advance?

Ordinary seats cannot be reserved or assigned. A ticket does not guarantee boarding when a bus is full, so check the next service alongside sightseeing and return times. Wheelchair use requires a separate reservation by 17:00 the previous day and confirmation of vehicle and stop conditions.

Buses and accessibility

Does the return MY Yu Bus also arrive on Kochi Station’s south side?

The final MY Yu return from Katsurahama on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays arrives at Kochi Station’s north-side bus terminal. Departing normally from south-side Kochi Tabihiroba does not mean every return arrives there. If connecting at the station, check the arrival point in the official timetable.
