One night in Mie: Ise shrines or Toba exhibits
For one night, choose Ise or Toba. In Ise, visit Geku first and Naiku second, then return to Iseshi. In Toba, visit the aquarium first and Pearl Island second, finishing at Toba Station.
Naiku needs bus returns; Pearl Island hours vary seasonally. Include final-day visits only if station return fits your departure.

Iga to Ise transfers
Take Iga Railway from Uenoshi to Iga-Kambe, then transfer to the Kintetsu route for Iseshi. Osaka/Yamada lines connect at Ise-Nakagawa, but whether you transfer there depends on the chosen train. Search travel-date transfers and journey time. Limited express needs a reserved-seat supplement plus basic fare.

Where do I board Naiku buses?
Routes 51/55 leave Iseshi-ekimae stand 10; returns from Naiku-mae to Iseshi use stand 2. Adult fare is 520 yen one way or 1,040 yen return; other routes may use different stands. Search your date and origin/destination stops with Mie Kotsu, choosing returns together.
What should I choose on Toba departure day?
Pearl Island and Kamome promenade are each about five minutes from Toba Station, but have different entrances. Pearl Island is paid; Kamome is a free coastal path. Omit coastal walks for strong wind/rain or early departure and finish at Toba Station.
Before choosing a JR pass
Ise-Kumano-Wakayama Area Tourist Pass costs 16,500 yen for adults for five consecutive days, covering designated sections including JR Sangu Line Taki–Toba. Ise Railway differs from Iga Railway; Kintetsu Iseshi–Toba trains are excluded. JR Ise-Toba free ticket from Nagoya city costs 5,300 yen for adults for two days, with designated JR sections and bus-ticket exchange conditions. Do not directly compare local-start partial subtotals with passes including origin travel. Choose origin, dates, actual sections, reservations and eligibility, then compare ordinary tickets. Accommodation, food and facilities are extra.
