Itineraries by trip length

For shrine visits plus aquarium/coast, stay in Ise and give each a day. For the ninja museum too, stay one Uenoshi night before moving to Ise. For one night, compare Ise shrines with Toba aquarium/Pearl Island. On the final day, include visits only if station return fits your booked departure.

Geku and Naiku are in different neighbourhoods

Walk from Iseshi to Geku, but take a bus to Naiku. Eat near the station after Geku, or in Oharai-machi on Naiku day. Some Naiku shops close early; compare Iseshi/Ujiyamada station areas for dinner.

Compare station-area Toba hotels for aquarium/Pearl Island on separate days. Iga courses visit the museum, stay near Uenoshi, then move to Ise. Check coastal-hotel shuttles and station access with your chosen accommodation.

From Nagoya, Osaka or airport to Ise

For Geku first, search trains to Iseshi, then walk to Geku and use buses for Naiku. For a Toba hotel, set Toba as destination. Enter your origin/date to check transfers/fares.

Search Kintetsu Nagoya–Iseshi or compare JR Nagoya routes. For Geku first, alight at Iseshi and follow the JR-side approach. Kintetsu limited express needs a supplement plus basic fare.

The official map shows Kintetsu routes from Osaka-Uehommachi and Kyoto. Search your origin to Iseshi, checking your service’s transfers/stops. For a Toba hotel, compare Toba routes first.

Take Meitetsu to Nagoya, then continue from Kintetsu Nagoya or JR Nagoya towards Ise. Total airport–Iseshi travel is outside local course costs.

How should I compare course costs and passes?

Separate admission from transport

Ordinary Geku/Naiku worship is free. Aquarium, Pearl Island and ninja museum charge admission; ninja shows are extra. Two-night A’s 4,620 yen includes aquarium, ordinary Iseshi–Toba return and Naiku bus return. Other subtotals may omit intercity trains; read included/extra items first.

Distinguish Kintetsu and JR pass lines

The five-day Kintetsu Rail Pass covers all Kintetsu lines and Iga Railway for five consecutive days; limited express is extra. Distinguish it from Ise-Kumano-Wakayama’s JR Sangu Line/Ise Railway coverage. Ise Railway is a different company from Iga Railway. Choose actual lines/dates before comparing ordinary tickets.

Must I change hotels for Ise Jingu and Toba Aquarium?

Keep an Iseshi hotel and take Kintetsu to the aquarium and back. Alternatively, stay near Toba for aquarium/Pearl Island on separate days. Choose actual returns and final departure station before deciding on a hotel move.
