For Kanazawa Station, take the airport limousine bus to the west side of the station, at JPY 1,400 one way for an adult. Some departures continue to Korinbo for hotels around Korinbo and Katamachi; otherwise, change to a local bus or taxi at Kanazawa Station. For Komatsu Station, use airport stop 3 instead: the adult one-way fare is JPY 310.

Compare fares, on-board journey time, and luggage together
The times in the table are Vehicle on-board journey time. You must add the time required for immigration, baggage collection, waiting for the bus, transferring to the station, and walking to your accommodation. Transferring to regular trains is cheap, but it cannot be guaranteed that the bus and train will connect directly.

1F arrivals → ticket → airport bus stop
- Complete arrival formalities and baggage collection, then enter the 1F arrival lobby. Buy a ticket to your destination from the machine.
- For Kanazawa Station West Exit · 金沢駅西口 or Korinbo, go to stop 1; additional vehicles use stop 2 when directed. For Komatsu Station, use stop 3.
- Hokuriku Railroad · 北陸鉄道 airport limousines do not accept seat reservations. The Komatsu Station bus is operated by Hokutetsu Kaga Bus · 北鉄加賀バス. Carry cash or ICa for Komatsu, and check the actual reader for other supported cards.
- On the Kanazawa limousine, put a paper ticket in the fare box when alighting. Cash, ICa, supported bank-card tap payment and official digital tickets are listed. Only JPY 1,000 notes can be changed on board. Do not assume Suica or ICOCA works on the airport bus.
- Confirm large-bag space before loading, and load/unload your own luggage. Keep valuables and fragile items with you. Komatsu Station buses may have different luggage space and payment equipment.
Limousines carry seated passengers only. If full, the operator may provide an additional vehicle or direct you to the next bus. Space or size limits can prevent large luggage being accepted.

Kanazawa Station hotels: arrive west, then choose your exit
The limousine reaches the Kanazawa Port Gate · 金沢港口(西口) side in about 40 minutes. Collect your luggage at the airport-bus arrival stop. Airport-bound West stop 3 is a separate location.
For a western hotel, follow the pedestrian route to its address. For an eastern hotel or city bus, cross through the station’s 1F public passage towards Kenrokuen Gate · 兼六園口(東口). No railway ticket gate is needed simply to change sides.
For the loop bus, follow arrival stop → western entrance → public passage → eastern exit → stop 7. Check the hotel’s side of the station before carrying bags across.

Korinbo and Katamachi hotels: only selected buses continue through
Korinbo · 香林坊 and Katamachi · 片町 are south-east of Kanazawa Station. Not every airport bus reaches Korinbo. The 1–24 October timetable extends the departures linked to ANA759 (scheduled arrival 21:35) and JAL193 (21:45). Daytime passengers normally continue from Kanazawa Station.
On a Korinbo through service
After Kanazawa Station, alight at Korinbo. The arrival diagram places the stop by Ishikawa Fourth High School Memorial Cultural Exchange Centre · 石川四高記念文化交流館. Airport-bound Korinbo stop 6 near Toyoko Inn is different. Use your hotel’s address for the final walk towards Korinbo or southern Katamachi; follow actual signs and driver instructions.
Daytime city-bus change at Kanazawa
Cross the public passage to East stop 7 and take the Kanazawa Loop Bus · 城下まち金沢周遊バス anticlockwise (LL・左回り). Korinbo Atrio is about ten minutes away; Katamachi Pasion about twelve. Adult fare is JPY 220 extra.
The loop bus accepts cash, ICa, supported bank-card payment, digital tickets and nationwide IC cards such as Suica/ICOCA. This differs from the airport limousine. With large bags, compare a station taxi using your hotel address.

Komatsu Station hotels and rail connections to Kanazawa
- From 1F airport arrivals, prepare the JPY 310 bus fare and go to stop 3.
- Take the bus to Komatsu Station · 小松駅: about twelve minutes, or around fifteen on scheduled autonomous services. This bus does not continue to Kanazawa.
- Alight west of the station. Walk to a western hotel, or enter the station and use the 1F IR ticket machines/gates, separately from Shinkansen gates.
- Buy a JPY 580 IR ticket to Kanazawa and take a local train in that direction. Check the departure display and use station lifts with luggage.
- After about 33–35 minutes, leave Kanazawa’s gates towards your hotel exit or East bus stop 7.
The conventional line is now operated by IR Ishikawa Railway · IRいしかわ鉄道. Old JR Hokuriku Main Line/pass descriptions may no longer apply. The total is JPY 890 (bus 310 + rail 580), with one change; no local-train express supplement or seat reservation.
Choosing the Hokuriku Shinkansen
Hokuriku Shinkansen · 北陸新幹線 trains take about 11–12 minutes from Komatsu to Kanazawa. Choose a stopping Tsurugi/Hakutaka service and its seat type. Kagayaki has reserved seating only, and not every train calls at Komatsu.
Non-reserved fare is JPY 1,390 (base 510 + supplement 880), or JPY 1,700 including the airport bus. The checked 5 October 2026 Tsurugi 16 reserved seat was JPY 2,710 (510 + 2,200), or JPY 3,020 including the bus; reserved fares vary by date.
Non-reserved tickets do not specify a seat; reserved tickets specify a train/seat. Official reservations normally open at 10:00 JST one month before the corresponding travel date. Check a pass’s current IR coverage and JR/seat conditions separately. Airport buses are not automatically included.

Large luggage: allow for changes and the final walk
The Kanazawa limousine has a hold, subject to available space and size limits. Komatsu Station/city buses may not have equivalent space. IR permits two carry-on items, each within 250 cm total dimensions, 30 kg and 2 m length. Allow extra time for lifts and ticket gates.
Check JR baggage guidance for your Shinkansen. The oversized-baggage seat rules on Tokaido/Sanyo/Kyushu Shinkansen do not apply to the Hokuriku Shinkansen; storage space still depends on the vehicle and seat.

Last buses, flight delays and winter journeys
Last airport departures
The 1–24 October 2026 timetable links buses to flights operating that day, rather than a fixed clock time for every weekday. The final listed Kanazawa and Komatsu Station buses connect with JAL193, scheduled arrival 21:45. Domestic-linked buses depart around fifteen minutes after arrival, so 22:00 is an estimate if the flight is on time, not a guaranteed fixed last bus.
Some international services are marked to use other connecting buses. In particular, do not assume a dedicated bus for Incheon KE2189; find a domestic-linked departure that you can reach after entry formalities. Flight cancellations may cancel linked buses, and major delays/full seating can prevent boarding. Unlimited waiting is not confirmed.
The Komatsu table advises using the next bus after major delays. Its autonomous departures at 09:05, 10:05, 11:20, 14:05 and 16:05 are fixed, rather than flight-waiting services; other vehicles may substitute.
Komatsu → Kanazawa last trains
The current IR table shows 23:23→23:56; the Shinkansen table shows 23:14→23:25. The final airport bus does not guarantee either connection. Include delays, ticket purchase and the walk to the correct gates.
Kanazawa → hotel after the loop bus finishes
The loop’s last East stop 7 departures are 18:00 clockwise and 17:58 anticlockwise (1 April 2026 revision). These are loop-bus times only. Other city routes vary by date and stop; use the operator search for ‘金沢駅東口’ to ‘香林坊’/‘片町’. Compare a station taxi, hotel walk or an eligible Korinbo through bus after late arrivals.
If buses have finished, or snow/wind affects your route
Use the official taxi rank outside the terminal or contact your booked vehicle operator. Reserved-car meeting points differ from the ordinary queue. The airport’s October 2024 fare examples are Komatsu Station about ten minutes/JPY 2,200 and Kanazawa about sixty minutes/JPY 14,400, excluding highway tolls. These are dated examples, not fixed 2026 fares. Confirm current fare, night surcharge, tolls and waiting charges.
For a booking, confirm flight details, delayed-arrival contact, meeting point, passengers/bags and cancellation terms. Rental cars use 1F reception and an office shuttle; ask about last collection and delayed flights. Neither booking nor a taxi rank guarantees late vehicle availability. Tell your hotel the revised check-in time.
Check airport notices, bus notices, IR and JR Shinkansen status separately. Snow, wind or heavy rain does not alone establish suspension of every service. Allow more time on snowy/icy walks and compare available taxis with long luggage walks.

How do I get from Komatsu Airport to Kanazawa Station?
After 1F arrivals, use airport stop 1 for the Hokutetsu limousine to Kanazawa Station West Exit. The adult one-way fare is JPY 1,400 and the journey takes about 40 minutes. Immigration, baggage collection and waiting are additional.
Which side of Kanazawa Station does the bus reach?
The west, or Kanazawa Port Gate (金沢港口), side. The arrival stop differs from airport-bound West stop 3. For an eastern hotel or city loop bus, cross the station’s 1F public passage to Kenrokuen Gate; no railway gate is needed just to change sides.
Can I go directly to a Korinbo or Katamachi hotel?
Only selected buses continue to Korinbo. The 1–24 October 2026 table lists the ANA759 and JAL193 linked services. Arrival is near Ishikawa Fourth High School Memorial Cultural Exchange Centre, separately from airport-bound Korinbo stop 6. Walk/take a taxi to your hotel. During the day, change at East stop 7 to the anticlockwise LL loop bus.
Do I need to reserve the airport bus?
Kanazawa limousine seats are not reserved. Buy a machine ticket and put it in the fare box on alighting, or use a supported on-board payment method. If full, follow the operator’s guidance for an additional/next bus or another option. Komatsu Station buses are also used on the day.
Can I reach Kanazawa via Komatsu Station?
Yes. Take the JPY 310 bus from airport stop 3 to Komatsu Station, about twelve minutes, then an IR local train to Kanazawa: JPY 580 and about 33–35 minutes. Total JPY 890, one change, plus waiting and station movement. There is no station at the airport.
How do local trains and Shinkansen compare?
IR Komatsu–Kanazawa costs JPY 580 and takes about 33–35 minutes, without an express supplement/reservation. Shinkansen takes about 11–12 minutes; non-reserved fare JPY 1,390 plus airport bus JPY 310 totals JPY 1,700. The checked 5 October 2026 Tsurugi 16 reserved fare was JPY 2,710, or JPY 3,020 with the bus. Reserved fares vary by date; choose a train calling at Komatsu.
Can I bring a large suitcase?
The limousine hold is subject to space/size limits; load and unload your own luggage. Komatsu/city buses may not have the same space. IR permits two items, each within 250 cm total dimensions, 30 kg and 2 m length. Check JR luggage rules separately for Shinkansen.
How do I reach Kenrokuen and Kanazawa Castle?
From East stop 7, take the clockwise RL loop bus to Kenrokuenshita/Kanazawa Castle, opposite Ishikawa Gate: about eighteen minutes and JPY 220. Walk to Kenrokuen’s Renchimon entrance/ticket office or the castle’s Ishikawa Gate. Consider leaving large bags at your hotel first.
Where should I alight for Higashi Chaya?
Take the clockwise RL bus from East stop 7 to Hashibacho (Higashi/Kazuemachi Chaya District): about twelve minutes and JPY 220. Distinguish the stop near Kinjoro with a similar name. Walk towards Higashi Chaya Rest House at 観音町1-3-8 near the district entrance.
What if my flight is delayed and I miss the last bus?
The 1–24 October 2026 final buses link to JAL193, scheduled arrival 21:45. About 22:00 is an on-time estimate, not a fixed guaranteed departure. Major delays, cancellations or full seats can prevent boarding. Komatsu’s last Kanazawa-bound IR train is 23:23 and Shinkansen 23:14; neither connection is guaranteed. If buses finish, contact an official taxi/booked vehicle and your hotel.
Where should I check winter service conditions?
Check airport, Hokutetsu bus, IR and JR Shinkansen notices separately. Snow, wind or rain alone does not establish suspension of every route. Allow more time on snowy or icy final walks and check taxi availability during disruption.
