One-day tickets: adults ¥2,000; junior and senior high school students ¥1,600; elementary school students ¥1,000; preschool children ¥500. One preschool child per adult rides free. Groups of 20 or more pay ¥1,800 per adult, ¥1,500 per junior/senior high school student, and ¥900 per elementary school student. The ticket permits repeat rides that day; waits may occur when busy.
Opening hours
First departure: 9 a.m. Last departure: 5 p.m. March–September or 4 p.m. October–February. Fureai Hiroba departures are roughly every 20–30 minutes; Otemae Hiroba departures are every 15–20 minutes. A circuit takes about 50 minutes. Reception closes 10 minutes before operations end, or 20 minutes at Karakoro Hiroba. There is no regular closing day, but weather, water levels, and route changes may suspend services or alter times.

Passing under low bridges
Some low bridges require you to duck. Follow the crew's instructions to lower your posture as the boat passes beneath them.
How to get to Horikawa Sightseeing Boat · 堀川遊覧船
Take the Lakeline from JR Matsue Station to Otemae Horikawa Yūransen Noriba/Rekishikan-mae · 大手前堀川遊覧船乗場・歴史館前. Head to Otemae Hiroba boarding reception · 大手前広場乗船場 inside the castle's Otemae parking lot. It is separate from Fureai Hiroba, where reserved groups of 10 or more must board. Check on-site guidance for crossings, access, and walking time from the stop.

Small groups normally ride without reservations. Reserved groups of 10 or more board at Fureai Hiroba, a different point from Otemae Hiroba. Confirm your location before departure.

Otemae Hiroba reception is inside Matsue Castle's Otemae parking lot. Follow on-site guidance for crossings and access from the bus stop. Walking time for this section has not been confirmed.
